In the UK, CSR isn’t just a trend—it’s a powerful tool, also for household appliance companies, to enhance their brand image and build lasting customer loyalty. Research highlights the positive perception customers and marketers have of household appliance brands that prioritize CSR, especially by recycling & producing less waste and taking care of their employees.

Which household appliance companies in the UK are perceived as the best in doing good? This is one of the questions in the European CSR Brand Growth Study by DVJ Insights among more than 2,900 marketers in 11 countries and more than 3,000 consumers in Europe, distinguishing successful companies (winners) from less performing ones (losers) concerning CSR’s role in brand growth.

CSR strategies that distinguish winners

75% of marketers agree that household appliance brands perform well in CSR compared to their competitors in recycling and taking care of employees’ work-life balance. Further, 72% mention producing less waste and minimising global footprint as other well-accomplished initiatives.

Leaders in CSR among Household Appliance Companies

When marketers and consumers think of companies that do good for society in this category, they usually think of brands like Samsung, Dyson, Bosch, Hoover and Hotpoint.
Usually, brands get similar ratings from both consumers and marketers however, Dyson has a stronger position in the minds of consumers while LG is more frequently mentioned by marketers.
