CSR BRAND GROWTH STUDY AMONG MARKETERS AND CONSUMERS IN GERMANY

CSR can be a powerful tool to establish the position of your brand in the market. Discover which German supermarkets hold the top rankings in making a positive impact on society and the environment while also strengthening their brand image and fostering customer loyalty thanks to their CSR initiatives. Research by DVJ Insights revealed that both customers and marketers favour daily grocery companies that prioritize CSR. The most appreciated initiatives include reducing packaging, promoting sustainability, and encouraging environmentally friendly practices.

So which German daily grocery companies are perceived as the best in doing good? This is one of the questions in the European CSR Brand Growth Study by DVJ Insights among more than 2,900 marketers in 11 countries and more than 3,000 consumers in Europe, distinguishing successful companies (winners) from less performing ones (losers) concerning CSR’s role in brand growth.

WHAT CSR STRATEGIES DETERMINE WINNERS?

More than two-thirds of marketers in Germany indicate that daily grocery companies top performing in CSR, reduce packaging, produce environmentally friendly, and stimulate sustainable consumption.

 

WHAT GERMAN DAILY GROCERIES MANAGE CSR WELL?

When asked which daily grocery companies in Germany perform well regarding CSR-related activities, marketers and customers responded the most for Aldi, Lidl, REWE, and Edeka. Marketers mentioned Aldi and Lidl more than consumers, who were more inclined to mention REWE and Edeka.
