Working since 15 years in Market Research, Marketing and Business Development, you can say I love what I do. I had the opportunity to work both on the brand side as well as the supplier side. I had been a Manager, in charge of Business Development, Marketing and Sales when a Head hunter introduced me to DVJ Insights. Checking the website on what DVJ does and what the team stands for, made me feel enthusiastic about the company and the job. Also, DVJ’s innovative and holistic methods in research and data analytics caught my immediate attention.

Exploring at a fast-growing company

Actually it was on my mind to join a startup as next step in my career. DVJ is fast-growing and still feels to me like a start up in many ways. The agency expanded its growing business in Germany with the opening of an office in Hamburg in January 2020. Some time later I joined the German Team as Senior Business Partner to even better facilitate the German and International clients and projects, thus building the business in Germany even stronger. This gave me the opportunity to apply all my expertise while trying new things. I love helping my clients grow their brand and their business. And at the same time, I can contribute to developing research methods and business solutions even further. I also wanted to work in an international environment again, sharing experiences between markets and cultures as well as mastering other languages, besides German, even more.
It’s really nice to work with awesome colleagues, with all their diversity in backgrounds, nationalities, languages ​​and experience.

Often research agencies work with inflexible research solutions, solely focusing on the benefit to make them scalable to be offered in as many countries as possible. At DVJ Insights I can contribute to the development of new and more flexible, agile solutions, depending on the needs of the ever changing markets and clients, locally or globally. Senior consultants working closely together with DVJ Researchers and Data Scientists from our Center of Expertise, give us the opportunity to excite our clients together. Because our solutions are not written in stone, we can adapt and optimize them day by day, improving even more brand positioning, the effectiveness and the return on investment for marketing spends from our clients.

At DVJ we are committed to Byron Sharp, who tackles conventional marketing wisdom, disproving many of the conventional marketing myths with scientific facts and establishing scientifically proven principles. With his book “How brands grow” he somehow pioneered in incorporating data to help marketing professionals grow their brand based on scientifically proven principles. Consequently, at DVJ we are truly committed to apply data-driven research methods which are both academically validated as well as innovative.

Helping global and local brands to grow their business

One of our core portfolio assets is pre testing and improving advertising campaigns, but we offer so much more to help brands grow their business, like shopper research or innovation research. It’s all about marketing activities that will move a brand to a higher level of performance. I am passionate about consulting our clients when it comes to ongoing or possible marketing strategies.

Since the start of 2022 we changed our consultancy structure from working in local teams to collaborating as a global team. This approach helps us to better share experiences, add value and mutual energy. We also reallocated responsibilities of clients depending on our affinity and experience with industries and personal desires. And instead of several consultants being responsible for a global brand, one of us is now coordinating across countries, working together in a dedicated client team.

What do you want to say to potential colleagues?

What I like about DVJ is that we work with smart people, each one of them adding their own expertise and capabilities. And most important: we are passionate about our jobs, love to learn and excite our clients.
